Marco Lanza, born in Florence in 1957, starts dealing with photography when he was very young, Self-taught photographer, he studies Discipline delle Arti, della Musica e dello Spettacolo at the University of Bologna.
In that period, he starts travelling worldwide for his first assignments; he moves for a year to Australia with his family; he works with international agencies and magazines.
At the same time, his artistic work finds room in exhibitions in Italy and abroad. The Sunday Times, Colors, Die Zeit, Harper’s, Creative Review publish some of his works.
In 2000, Westzone Publishing prints the book The Living Dead, a photographic work on the Capuchin Crypt of Palermo (The Living Dead – Inside the Palermo Crypt).
In 2005, he founds together with his brother, Saverio, a musician, the video project Pastis.
